As yet, I haven't tried any of these and there's a big part of me that is peeved by the idea of filling in weak spots
of the list with choices from the Mortals or Daemons as opposed to finding a suitable Beasts solution.
I will discuss a few decent possibilities however, though this
will not even scratch the surface as there are many many options. These are just a few ideas I have
one the subject, though it isn't too likely that I'll try many of them given my purist nature.

Chaos Knights:
|
I'm only mentioning this one because it always chaps my ass when I see an entire Beasts army with a unit of
5 or 6 Chaos Knights thrown in. To me it's not fluffy, it's not Beasty, it's just an attempt to add some real
hitting power to the list without putting too much thought into it. None-the-less it does seem to be effective.
I just cannot recommend this unit though, considering it's un-Beastiness. Try some Minos or Dragon Ogres instead.

Furies:
|
I like these boys not because they're really tough or would overbalance things, but just because they seem Beasty
and would fit in nice visually amongst a Beasts army. Plus I really dig daemons for some reason. Replacing a Beast
Herd with a Fury unit is something I will definitely be trying eventually, and when that happens I'll let you know
how it goes. I'm not sure whether I'm going to convert the models from Gors, or just use the actual Furies. Likely
the latter just for variety's sake.

Marauder Horsemen:
|
These offer a great Fast Cav troop choice that would be much more helpful, though much more expensive, than
Warhounds. Many would just as soon use Centigors to keep things Beasty, but the Fas Cavalry rules can be
invaluable when it comes to mobility. Marauder Horsemen are a great choice to enchance the mobility of an
already mobile list without putting something Uber-powerful into it just because your list needs some punch.
These could be made to fit into a Beasts army rather readily with some interesting conversions.
